Dr Vet Dominique Théron performs various surgical procedures at the Madeleine Vet veterinary practice.

The primary surgeries performed at Madeleine Vet are the following:

• Convenience surgery: male and female (dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, ferret) neutering, ovariectomy, ovariohysterectomy.
• Soft tissue surgery includes the resection of mammary and other skin tumours, reconstructive surgery, and hernias…
• Abdominal surgery includes enterotomy/gastrectomy to remove a foreign body, enterotomy, enterectomy, gastric dilation torsion, cystotomy to remove vesical stones or tumours, urethrostomy, hernia repair, ovariohysterectomy, caesarean section, episiotomy, and valvuloplasty…
• Orthopaedic surgery includes amputation and osteosynthesis of fractures by external fixation.
• Ophthalmic surgery includes treatment for corneal ulcers, transient or permanent dislocation of the Harder gland, correction of cartilage eversion of the nictitating membrane, blepharoplasty (entropion, ectropion, eversion), corneal sutures, lens surgery, and glaucoma surgery …
• Stomatology includes scaling, dental extractions, and the removal of oral tumours.

We refer the patient to competent colleagues (such as an orthopaedic surgeon) for any intervention we do not perform in the clinic.
